Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know
Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the thing that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you deposit.
