TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It does be part of your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
