Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
